5th Thing -- Flickr and Photo Sharing
Well, I've created a Flickr account and uploaded some photos from my latest trip. As a test I loaded the same picture both from my Flickr account and directly from my computer. The photo as sent from Flickr comes out larger on the blog page but it has a partial black border that I don't like at all. So, unless and until I figure out how to either complete that border or delete it all together, I'm going to upload my pictures directly from my computer. But Flickr is a fun and easy, not to mention free, way of sharing my pictures with everyone!
On a clear day you can see forever ... or at least as far as Hartford!

Lifelong Learning
I think I was a lifelong learner long before I learned that phrase. The drive to always learn something new probably plays a large role in why I became a Reference Librarian. The one of the 71/2 habits that I find the hardest is creating a learning toolbox simply because I love gathering the tools for projects but I sometimes find that I lose interest once I've gathered the tools. As a result, I've got a very nice collection of crossstitch tools and a very cute and well-stocked scrapbooking carryall! But, who knows, I may pick those hobbies up again! The easiest of the habits for me is definitely playing!

Why I like YouTube
I like YouTube; there is a lot of interesting stuff there. When I go there I have to be careful or I'll stay way too long watching video after video. Those "related" links get me every time! I think having some videos on our library website showing clips from a storytime program or a tour of a newly opened or renovated branch might be a great way of using YouTube.
I added a video!
After seeing so many other PRL folks add videos to their blogs I figured it was time for me to give it a try. It took me only about 5 minutes from finding a video to add to actually getting it onto my blog. It's easy. You just have to read the prompts that come up and follow the instructions. And, you can always ask a coworker who has already added a video to their blog to give you a hand if you have questions. I added this particular video just because I like cute kittens and I was looking for a short clip to add. This one is less than 1 minute long.
